Introducing the File Uploader Plugin for WooCommerce
If you run a WooCommerce store that needs files from customers — a photo for a custom mug, a logo for an embroidered jacket, a design file for a print job — you already know the usual workaround: customers email you the file separately, and you manually match it to an order. It's slow, error-prone, and easy to lose track of.
Our File Uploader plugin fixes that by putting the upload right where the order happens: on the product page or at checkout.
How it works
Customers attach files during product selection or at checkout, from any of 14 sources — phone, desktop, camera, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Box, Facebook, Evernote, Flickr, VK, and Huddle. Each upload gets a unique link that shows up directly in the WooCommerce admin and in seller notifications, so there's nothing to download from an inbox and nothing to lose.
Uploads run on dedicated infrastructure through the Uploadcare CDN, over HTTPS.
Free vs. Pro
The free plan covers the basics: image uploads, 500 uploads/month, 1-month file retention.
Pro adds:
- Multiple-file uploads
- A built-in image editor (crop, rotate, enhance, sharpen)
- Support for video, PDF, documents, and design files
- Per-file notes/caption fields
- Minimum image size requirements
- Full product-targeting customization
- 10,000 uploads/month and 3-month retention
Pro is $4.99/month (with a 7-day trial) or $49.99/year at early-adopter pricing.
Who it's for
Print-on-demand shops, personalized product retailers, design and creative service providers, media editing services, and anyone handling legal or administrative documents through their store.
Getting started
Install from the WordPress plugin directory (or upload manually via FTP), then configure it under WooCommerce → Settings → File Uploader Settings.
